Overview
Ēji Éusk-īo was founded durring the late 15th century in spring of the year 1359, by Courtney vyim Yuvnoyutsɪxt vyim Rolɑrtɑeplə˞rd vyim Yuvnotræ̝rg vyim Yuvnoyutsɪxt vyim Glə˞ʤine vyim Rovuldyutsɪxt vyim Fɪgsegraɑgki vyim Roxlendyutsɪxt. The establishment of Ēji Éusk-īo was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Courtney vyim Yuvnoyutsɪxt vyim Rolɑrtɑeplə˞rd vyim Yuvnotræ̝rg vyim Yuvnoyutsɪxt vyim Glə˞ʤine vyim Rovuldyutsɪxt vyim Fɪgsegraɑgki vyim Roxlendyutsɪxt struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Ēji Éusk-īo as a prison colony.
Ēji Éusk-īo was built using the conventions of Gnollish durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ēji Éusk-īo is no diffrent. The metropolis's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.
Ēji Éusk-īo is buildings are arranged arround a single premissive paverstone mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the metropolis a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The byou metropolis rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. The metropolis's millitarily questionable fortifications are visibly old, but also obviously well maintained. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with routine mantance of the metropolis's defences.
A quick look in any direction shows Ēji Éusk-īo is filled with vices. There are many taverns, brothels are advertising their services on the streets, cardsharks are plying their illicit trade within public squairs, and every shop has at least three signs advertising various sales on goods. That alone wouldn’t be too noticeable, if it wasn’t just so omnipresent and overwhelmingly how the people of this metropolis live.

Cultural Notes
Ēji Éusk-īo's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by towering round arches, massive stone and brickwork, small windows, thick walls, and a propensity for housing art and sculpture depicting mythological scenes. The building's general shape would be a clever and ascetic combination of geometric shapes, which would be blended together by joining elements. The style's decorative features were largely internal rather than external and incorporated semicircular arches for windows, doors, and arcades; barrel or groin vaults to support the roof of the nave; massive piers and walls, with few windows, to contain the outward thrust of the vaults; side aisles with galleries above them..
Due to the actions of local Kami, autumn is short in Ēji Éusk-īo.
Ēji Éusk-īo's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves drinking to channel Mysticism energies of tier 3 via singing.

Points of Interest
Ēji Éusk-īo is cursed with recurrent spells of some troublesome disease. The affliction isn’t so fatal as to make living there impossible, but it adds suffering and expense to local lives. The plague might be the product of an ancient curse, the results of long lost toxic remains, or an unavoidable byproduct of whatever industry or purpose justifies the city. It’s probably not overly contagious, but visitors may be in some peril all the same.
